To calculate the Soul Urge, we add the vowels (purple) for each name separately and place that number in the row above the vowel numbers (blue). Then, if the number is a double digit (and not an 11, 22 or 33), further reduce by adding those two digits together to arrive at a single digit. Place that number in the very top row as shown above (red). Finally, add the three single digits representing the vowel totals for each name across to arrive at a total.
